Jenny has been working with children for over
30 years. She qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1978 and has
operated a private practice specializing in children since 1989, where
her KIDSCODEŽ process evolved. She is a mother herself and raised her
three little girls from the ages of 1, 2 and 5 years as a sole parent. She is now a grandmother of two aged 2 and 4 years.
Over the last 15 years her work with problem
children has allowed this process to be fine tuned to help all families
struggling with their children, especially those with Autism. The
outcomes reported by parents today speak for themselves.
Jenny provides an intensive home visiting
service for families in crisis with their children. She works with the
whole family, not just the child at risk.
It could be described as a holistic approach
that creates results based on a natural process of awareness that
touches everyone's 'heart and soul', instead of the typical clinical
intervention of stimulus- response/behaviour management used today.
Parents are not quite sure of exactly what
Jenny has to offer, but it is clear from the start that trust is
required to begin the KIDSCODEŽ process, which is clearly a hands on
program, where parents are actively involved and not just helpless
onlookers.
Jenny believes the missing link to all
problems with children is a parents own awareness of how to relate. As
things begin to make sense to both parents and children, things begin
to change.
