	Jenny Roberts has worked with children for a long time before becoming qualified as an Occupational Therapist. Her experience and knowledge gained over the last thirty years has helped create the process KIDSCODE® which has become the principles that underpin her work with families today. In 2009 results from research conducted in 2007/8 will be available about the effectiveness of this process in creating change in families struggling with their special needs children aged 2 - 15 years of age on the spectrum of Autism. A second research study for babies under 6 months of age funded by the Heirrison Rotary Club of Perth will be released together with the original research. Jenny's courageous decision in the early nineties to pioneer her approach in the homes of families struggling with their children will soon be qualified in these research studies. The intensive in - home consultations allows for everyone in the family to get what they need and want in the management of their child at risk. Often the family's struggle is primarily with the management of their child's basic needs, first; getting them to sleep, calming their behaviour and creating independence in self help skills. The most common issues for parents are how do I calm their behaviour? The KIDSCODE® process is a hands on program, where the whole family is actively involved in creating the space for the child to change their behaviour. From meeting Jenny you will quickly learn a healthier way of relating to your child(ren) and begin to find the answers you were looking for in a calm and satisfying way. The service is very personalized to each and every family's unique situation. The process is initially delivered over a 5 day intensive stay and then continues for a siz month period as the need requires, this includes ongoing support via phone and email after she leaves, which helps to continue and develop parents confidence and understanding of the KIDSCODE® process.
